Voter Registration Qualifications and Instructions

Missouri residents may register to vote by completing the Missouri Voter Registration Application available through the Missouri Secretary of State's website or at any local election authority; the county or city in which you reside, Department of Motor Vehicles, or other State Offices providing the service.

Registration requires an in-person visit to the local election authority, a completed application, and a form of personal identification as approved by the State of Missouri.

The boundaries of the City of Osage Beach lie within both Camden and Miller Counties. All Camden and Miller County residents may register to vote at the Office of the City Clerk at the Osage Beach City Hall, 1000 City Parkway, Monday through Friday, during normal business hours, or at the county in which you reside.

Voter registration qualifications

for all individuals are as follows:

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Must be a citizen of the United States
  • Must be a resident of Missouri

No person shall be entitled to vote:
  • While confined under a sentence of imprisonment;
  • While on probation or parole after the conviction of a felony
  • After conviction of a felony or misdemeanor connected with voting or the right of suffrage

Absentee Voting

Registered Missourians who are not able to go to their place of polling on Election Day may vote absentee beginning six (6) weeks prior to an election. Absentee ballots may be obtained at and should be sent to the Office of the County Clerk in which you reside.

Absentee Voting Guidelines

The following guidelines must be met in order to vote absentee:

  • Absence on Election Day from the jurisdiction of the election authority in which you reside and are registered to vote
  • Incapacity or confinement due to illness or physical disability
  • Religious belief or practice
  • Employment as an election authority, member of an election authority, or by an election authority at a location other than such voter's polling place
  • Incarceration, provided all qualifications for voting are retained

At the Polls

Take your voter registration card with you to the polls. If you have misplaced your voter registration card, another form of identification may be shown in order to vote. To get a replacement voter registration card, contact the county in which you are currently reside.

The following forms of identification that may be acceptable in lieu of a voter registration card:

  • Missouri Non-Driver's Identification Card
  • Passport
  • Social Security Card
  • Student ID Card
