The bill also does not save costs, it merely transfers costs from the company to the communities and taxpayers in the future.

What is the rush on this bill? Why not take the time to fix the things in the bill that hurt our local communities?

Question: What is wrong with a community making sure that additional antennas are located on existing towers first and new towers are only constructed when absolutely necessary?
Answer: SB650's new section, 67.5094, prohibits communities from doing just that.

Question: What is wrong with a community requiring the costs of removal of an abandoned or unused tower be guaranteed before the new tower is built?
Answer: By confusing towers which have only one use with other commercial construction, such as a restaurant, which is infinitely reusable, SB650's new section, 67.5094, prohibits communities from doing that.

Question: What is wrong with a community making sure the appearance of a facility is consistent with the neighborhood?
Answer: SB650's new section, 67.5094, prohibits communities from doing just that.
