Osage Beach K9 Officer Axel and his partner Senior Officer Sam Ford assisted the Missouri State Highway Patrol in a large drug bust off of Horseshoe Bend.
On 4/16/2015 the Missouri Highway Patrol requested the assistance of Osage Beach Officer Sam Ford and K9 partner, Axel, at a traffic stop on Horseshoe Bend Parkway, Lake Ozark, Camden County, Missouri.
The vehicle, a 2007 Cadillac, was displaying a 2013 expired dealer tag and was driven by 31 year old Michael J. Hall, who was suspended. The Trooper found that the interior of the vehicle had been altered, consistent with the transportation of illegal drugs and found items associated with the possession of firearms.
Upon Axel’s arrival he immediately alerted on the vehicle indicating that illegal drugs had been present. A search warrant was obtained for both Hall’s residence and vehicles. At approximately 6:45 pm a search of a condo located on Horseshoe Bend was conducted; Officers found firearms and drug paraphernalia and K9 Officer Axel discovered over 9 pounds of marijuana and
other illegal drugs.
