The Board of Aldermen recognize that appropriate changes to Osage Beach Parkway west of the Grand Glaize Bridge could potentially have the opportunity to improve the area’s economic development status and quality of life for current & future generations.
On December 3, 2015, the Board of Aldermen determined that a study of Osage Beach Parkway west of the Grand Glaize Bridge was necessary to evaluate the options for the future of the parkway. They voted to create a committee to assist with the selection of a qualified multi-service consulting firm that will have extensive experience and the capacity to perform and deliver, ultimately, a comprehensive plan that creates an economically vibrant place that realizes the community’s vision, enhances current and future development, improves quality of life, and provides for a sustainable future for the Osage Beach Parkway area west of the Grand Glaize Bridge. The committee members are: Mayor Penny Lyons, Alderman John Olivarri, Alderman Jeff Bethurem, City Planner Cary Patterson, and Public Works Director Nick Edelman.
In upcoming months, engagement with the selected firm from the community stakeholders, landowners, residents, and business owners will be solicited and encouraged to aid in the process of completing a comprehensive plan.
