The City of Osage Beach is excited to announce the opening of a new community dog park at City Park built in partnership with Lowe’s.
“We’re excited to partner with Lowe’s to offer this fantastic resource to our community. The dog park promotes physical activity, socialization and responsible pet ownership. It will be an outstanding addition to Osage Beach City Park,” said Eric Gregory, Osage Beach Parks and Recreation Department Manager.
The 1.2 acre off-leash Osage Beach Lowe’s Bark Park was constructed with $50,000 of materials donated through the Lowe’s Hometowns community grant program and spearheaded by Lowe’s of Osage Beach with support from Lebanon and Jefferson City Lowe’s stores.
"Lowe's Hometowns is all about bringing neighbors together to improve community spaces where neighbors can gather, like our dog park," said Jesse Campbell, Lowe's of Osage Beach Store Manager. "We are proud to put our passion for giving back, love for pets and DIY know-how to work to make our community better for all.”
Volunteers with Lowe’s worked alongside Osage Beach City Parks and Public Works crews on the project. Most of the construction is expected to be completed prior to the festival, but work will continue throughout the fall. Bark Park features include:
- Separate gated sections for large and small breed dogs
- Water stations and shade structures
- Picnic tables and seating for owners
- Waste stations and clean-up supplies
The Bark Park will follow the same hours as City Park, which are 7 AM – sunset.
