[ARCHIVED] OSHA & Brinkmann Safety Partnership at Oasis at Lakeport

Brinkmann OSHA Partnership Banner Signing

Brinkmann Constructors, the company overseeing construction on the Oasis at Lakeport family resort and entertainment district, is partnering with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to increase worker safety by eliminating serious hazards on the job.

Officials with the City of Osage Beach recently attended an OSHA ceremony recognizing Brinkmann as a new member of the OSHA Strategic Partnership Program. The voluntary program establishes a relationship between employers and OSHA to identify serious workplace hazards and develop safety and health systems to reduce worker injuries, illnesses and deaths.

City staff and officials participated in signing a banner to show their commitment to workplace safety at the Oasis at Lakeport project. Brinkmann is one of only four active partnerships out of OSHA’s Kansas City office. The OSHA partnership will continue through Sept. 30, 2025.

The City of Osage Beach Board of Aldermen approved SkyView Partners and Tegethoff Development’s proposed 25-acre development in June 2023. The $400 million project is on lakefront property at Highway 54 and Jefferies Road adjacent to the Grand Glaize Bridge.

Initial phases of construction have progressed since groundbreaking in mid-2024. The first phase of restaurants and amusement rides are slated to open in 2025. The second phase, slated for 2026, includes a full-service Marriott hotel and conference center with restaurants, pools, pickleball courts, spa, fitness center and a cigar store.

Plans for the entertainment district include:

  • 9-acre amusement park with 12 rides, including 2 roller coasters, plus a 170-ft. tall Ferris wheel.
  • 40,000 sq. ft. water park with retractable glass roof, water slides and lazy river.
  • Marina with 200 public boat slips.
  • Several retail and restaurant buildings.
  • Storage and parking featuring a garage with 20 EV stalls.

As of November 2024, 52 contractors with approximately 320 employees are currently under contract at the site. Two dozen supporting unions and trade groups are represented.
